Before colonists came to New Hampshire it was home to over 5,000 Native Americans. The Native Americans lived in villages in a beautiful land covered with thick forests, mountains, lakes, and rivers In 1623 John mason is granted the land of New hampshire. He tried to create a fishing colony and sent people there.
Economy- Shipbuilding, fishing, and transportation.
Geography- On the Atlantic coast. Lots of fish to go fishing for.
Government- General Court. All male white members of the church could vote. The settlers could talk about decisions relating to the colony.
Celebrity/Important Residents- Henry Wilson and Franklin Pierce. Henry Wilson was a Republican Senator from Massachusetts who later served as the 18th vice president of the United States. Franklin Pierce was the 14th president of the U.S.
Religion- Had multiple religions. Weren't as serious on religion like other colonies.
Residency requirements- Willing to work.
